Yoshihiro Togashi announces a break from social media.

Yoshihiro Togashi, renowned manga artist and author of Hunter x Hunter , announced to his followers that he will be taking a break from social media. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Togashi stated that his posts will be irregular until the end of November.

The author shared that he is going through a difficult time, especially after the passing of Kazuo Umezu, an important figure in the industry and an inspiration to many manga artists, including himself.

Togashi recalled a poignant moment while reading Umezu's work, mentioning that the first time he cried while reading manga was during a specific scene: the makeup scene for the character Tamami. This moment highlighted the impact Umezu's work had on his life, leaving a deep mark on his artistic development.

Togashi's pause on social media is a reminder that artists face personal challenges and that moments of grief can profoundly affect their lives and careers. Umezu's loss represents a significant impact on the industry, and Togashi's decision reflects the respect and admiration he had for his mentor.
