Middle-earth is back in theaters in a brand new way! The first trailer for “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” has been released, and fans of the universe created by J.R.R. Tolkien are eagerly awaiting the premiere. The animated film, directed by Kenji Kamiyama , known for his work on “Ghost in the Shell” and “Blade Runner: Black Lotus ,” takes place 183 years before the events of the original Lord of the Rings trilogy.
The story centers on Helm Hammerhand, the legendary king of Rohan, played by Brian Cox, and his struggle to protect his kingdom from the vengeance of Wulf (Luke Pasqualino), a Dunland lord seeking retribution for his father's death. Helm's daughter, Hera (Gaia Wise), also plays a vital role, leading the resistance during a time of crisis.
With a production team that includes names like Philippa Boyens, Fran Walsh, and Peter Jackson, the expectation is that "The War of the Rohirrim" will bring the same grandeur and emotion as the previous trilogies. Furthermore, the film will feature narration by Miranda Otto, who returns to her iconic role as Éowyn, the shieldmaiden of Rohan.
