The final episode of Witch Watch confirmed this Sunday that the anime will get a second season . Based on the manga by Kenta Shinohara , the same author of Sket Dance , the anime has won over fans around the world with its mix of magic, comedy, and romance .

The first season premiered in Japan on April 6, 2025 , with simultaneous streaming on Crunchyroll, Netflix, ADN, Aniplus, Hulu, and Tropics , and its second part aired on June 29. The production is by Bibury Animation Studios , responsible for bringing to life the vibrant and comedic universe created by Shinohara.

In the story, we follow Nico , a young witch apprentice, and Morihito (Moi) , her childhood friend and protective ogre. Living together, the two get involved in disastrous spells and hilarious situations, surrounded by equally eccentric classmates.

Witch Watch manga has been published in Weekly Shōnen Jump since February 2021 and has already reached 23 volumes as of September 2025 , with over 1.1 million copies in circulation by the end of 2022.

The second season promises to expand the relationship between Nico and Morihito, while new spells, mix-ups, and magical moments await fans.
