One Punch Man 3: Episode 6 becomes one of the worst in anime history.

The third season of One Punch Man has barely premiered and is already facing an unprecedented crisis. Episode 6, titled "Motley Heroes ," quickly gained attention—not for its quality, but for the extremely negative reception that shocked fans around the world.

The worst-rated episode in the franchise.

On IMDb, the episode's rating plummeted to 1.9/10 , making it not only the worst episode of One Punch Man , but also one of the lowest-rated episodes of any anime ever recorded on the platform. Criticism is multiplying at an accelerated pace.

Among the comments, fans claim that the episode features:

  • Inconsistent and below-expected animation.
  • Too much dialogue without impact.
  • Lack of action scenes, a trademark of the franchise.
  • Confusing direction and poor execution.

For some in the community, the situation is even more serious because One Punch Man "never had strong enough writing to compensate for the lack of action," exposing the structural flaws when the animation doesn't keep up.

The fall after high expectations

Expectations for the third season were extremely high. After a critically panned second season, many believed the anime would recapture the brilliance it had when Madhouse studio was in charge of production.

But the result was the opposite of what was expected.

With episodes marred by technical irregularities, a broken rhythm, and questionable creative choices, the reception of the new season quickly declined—culminating in the disaster of episode 6.

The future of One Punch Man

It is not yet known whether the production team intends to comment on the negative reaction. However, the impact on ratings and the franchise's reputation is already evident.

Fans are now wondering if the season will be able to recover or if "Motley Heroes" will definitively mark the worst phase of the series.

The sixth episode of One Punch Man 3 became a landmark—unfortunately, for the wrong reasons. With explosive reviews and one of the worst ratings ever seen in anime, the third season goes down in history as one of the most problematic in the franchise. The audience remains divided, but the general dissatisfaction makes it clear that something needs to change.

  1. Hello, good afternoon.
I'm making a general comment about what I think of the site (not about the article this comment will probably be about).
I think the initiative is sensational! This was one of the few sites that I really enjoyed following, however there's one thing I don't like, which is the way articles are viewed. For example: when I enter the site, I would like to see the latest news released yesterday (the most recent ones), which doesn't happen; it seems like they have a priority level (I don't really know).
Well, that's my opinion, thank you very much.

    1. Hi, Vitor!

Thank you so much for your comment and for following the site — we're truly happy to know that you enjoy following Otaku Saver.

Regarding what you mentioned, there were indeed two articles pinned to the top of the page because they were considered the most important: our first exclusive interview with N LITE and the post about upcoming Netflix releases. For this reason, they always appeared before the most recent news and could give the impression that the publication order was out of the ordinary.

To avoid any confusion, we removed those pins. The homepage now displays the most recent articles in order of publication.

Thank you so much for your feedback — it's important for us to keep improving. And we apologize for any inconvenience! We are always open to suggestions.
