A film's age rating often generates great anticipation among anime fans in Brazil, especially after recent cases where popular productions received higher-than-expected restrictions. Now, it has been confirmed that Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution +16 rating , an official decision from the Ministry of Justice , and this information is already appearing in major cinemas across the country.
The confirmation was also reinforced by the Kinoplex , which explained how the process works:
"The age rating listed on the website is the official one determined by the Ministry of Justice. Films that do not have an age rating are not indicated on our website—they have a question mark—and are updated when a rating is determined."
In other words, the rating currently displayed on cinema chain websites corresponds exactly to the final decision published by the government, leaving no room for error or speculation.
With this rating, Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution differentiates itself from recent releases like Chainsaw Man – Reze Arc and Demon Slayer: Infinite Castle , both rated 18+ due to their heavier content. In the case of JJK, the 16+ rating indicates that, despite the violent and intense tone of the work, the material does not exceed the adult limit, allowing unsupervised viewing by teenagers.
The decision also helps to broaden the film's reach, since a large part of the anime's fanbase is precisely in the 14-18 age range.
The official pre-sale began on November 14th , with tickets available on platforms such as Cinemark, Ingresso.com, UCI, Cinépolis, and Kinoplex. The premiere is scheduled for November 20th, 2025 , with screenings in both dubbed and subtitled versions.
