Review – Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom is a spectacle full of detail.

Nobody asked, but here's my review of the Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom movie 🤣. I'm not a film critic, but I'm a huge fan, and I'm warning you now that this review is anything but impartial.

The film has been showing in 14 Brazilian cities since November 7th—yes, it's a modest distribution for the grandeur the film deserves. It's hard for a fan like me not to feel a pang of frustration with Crunchyroll and Sony for the limited promotion and distribution. Imagine: only three promotional images and a subtitled trailer released so far!

But let's talk about what really matters: the film's content. The plot follows the Sacred Kingdom of Roble, which finds itself threatened by the devastating force of Jaldabaoth (or rather, our beloved Demiurge in his demonic form). The soundtrack intensifies each battle scene, making each moment even more epic. From the introduction of Neia Baraja, a character who surprised me immensely, to the direct confrontation with Jaldabaoth, the film delivers everything fans expect and much more. The presence of Neia Baraja adds a unique tone to the plot, balancing moments of pure action with profound emotional dilemmas.

During the screening, I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. The film perfectly balances visceral action scenes with moments of psychological tension and moral dilemmas. Seeing Ainz viewed as a kind of "savior" in Neia's eyes was fascinating; the contrast between what the characters believe and what we know as longtime fans is electrifying.

Prepare yourselves for intense and graphically stunning scenes — Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom doesn't skimp on gore and visual detail, which became even more pronounced in the combat scenes. It was impossible not to get chills from the brutality, but also from the precision with which the battles were executed. Without giving away any spoilers, I can only say that the final sequence left me speechless.

For fans of Overlord , this film is a must-see. In short: this movie is an experience worth every second, and the post-credits scene is unmissable, bringing that extra emotion that makes you leave the theater with a sense of accomplishment.

So guys, if you haven't seen it yet, go watch it and enjoy every detail of this masterpiece. As an Overlord , I give it a 10/10.
